For what it's worth, I've been trying to get my copy of wirecast to connect to my Akamai streaming account. Every time I tried I would get an error relating to the IP address or bad username or password. After downloading and installing Adobe Live Encoder and realizing all my settings were correct, I tried exporting the account settings from Adobe into an FMLE file. I then imported the text file into Wirecast and everything worked. So far so good. It seems that even though I was placing the password in the correct field in wirecast, it was not saving it.

hope this helps.

Yes, using an FMLE XML file is a good way to make sure Wirecast is set correctly. Wirecast is actually using Adobe Flash technology. That's a good tip if you bump into this kind of issue. Sometimes the CDN will send it to you too.
