Hi All

Anyone able to tell me whether I can use WMV Studio Pro or WMV Studio Pro HD to create WMV's that will stream on a Windows Media server?

I have just bought WMV Studio Pro and need to export from FCPv6/Compressor 3 to create streaming WMV files.

On first attempts the files are WMV's but do not stream when put on the server.

You need to do CBR or two pass CBR encodes to use mms streaming from Windows Media Server. Two Pass DBR (Constant Bit Rate) should give you a bit better quality if you have Studio Pro HD.

Many thanks for your comment. I tried the WMV's with studio pro on CBR but it doesnt seem to work still getting the same issue that they play out on the desktop but not on the server. Any suggestions?

Try downgrading to Flip4Mac 2.2.3.7. If that doesn't work it may be an issue with how you have the server set up.

Let me know as soon as you can. I want to make sure there's not a 2.3.0.14 issue with CBR. I know 2.2.3.7 works.
