I am running:
Dual 2.8 Quadcore Mac Pro 2008
Mac OS 10.6.1
Quicktime version unsure. Possibly 10?
Flip version 2.2.3.7
No source or export info.

Issue:
Since download Mac OS 10.6, I have experienced frequent instances of background importing, where a Flip4Mac progress bar titled "importing" will appear shaded on my desktop and will run some process, finish, and disappear. This will happen every few minutes, and yet no application will launch for it to happen and as far as I know it shouldn't have anything to import.

I tried opening the Flip4Mac WMV player, and I get a popup error saying Quicktime Player must be installed to run this application.

There don't SEEM to be any adverse effects as a result, but I just plain don't like background downloads or imports that I have not authorized or am aware of.

Thanks!

If you're on Snow Leopard you should download 2.3.0.11 Beta.
